Sanatorium Bandarbaru

The sanatorium at Bandarbaru was originally a place of recovery for the staff of the Deli Amsterdam Company. It was established about 1897 and was later on used as a sanatorium. The picture is probably taken about 1900. It belongs to the collection  of the Tropical Institute at Amsterdam. Code TMnr 10002232.jpg.

Bandar baroe was situated in the Deli region, not far from Brastagi and Kabandjahe on the eastcoast of Sumatra
