HISTORY OF THE EAST JAVA COMMUNITY EYE HOSPITAL Early History, the East Java Community Eye Hospital was established as a community health service center which was inaugurated by the Minister of Health on April 18, 1992. At that time it was still called the CeHC Community Eye Health Center. Since the implementation of regional autonomy in 2001 according to government regulations, the Community Eye Health Center was formed which became known as the BKMM. In its development, the BKMM has served the community to remote areas of East Java as the technical implementation unit of the East Java Provincial Government. Then the BKMM officially changed to the East Java Community Eye Hospital (RSMM Jatim) in accordance with the Governor's Decree Number 68 of 2014 dated 27 October 2014. ABOUT EAST JAVA COMMUNITY EYE HOSPITAL The East Java Community Eye Hospital (RSMM), originally called the Community Eye Health Center (BKMM), was established on April 18, 1992 under the Indonesian Ministry of Health. Based on the Decree of the Minister of Health No. 909 / Menkes / SK / VIIII / 2001 dated April 4, 2001 regarding the institutional transfer of several Technical Service Units (UPT) within the Ministry of Health to become regional apparatuses, at that time BKMM's authority was transferred to the Regional Government of East Java Province and was under the Provincial Health Office East Java. The transfer of BKMM management to the local government was able to answer various problems more concretely, based on the needs and demands of the people of East Java. The types of activities / services provided to the community are divided into 3 major activities, the first is Technical Medical Activities and Nursing and Public Health, the second is Management Activities, and the third is Additional Activities.
