Leprosy hospital Semaroeng

In Staatsblad 585 of 6 November 1911 (Decision Governor General no.46 of 30 October 1911) the  Semaroongesticht was closed and then continued as Nationaal institution with the name “Leprozengesticht Semaroong”. Its destiny from that moment was to hospitalize indigenous and similar categories of the lepra population. In 1936 this institution belongs to the category of subsidized hospitals with a capacity of 194 places (70,921 nursing days) and a subsidy of f 19.446,89. The following year the subsidy amounts to  f 20.253,39 for a capacity of 196 beds and 71,559 nursing days. See: Mededeelingen DVG 1939 (nr. 28).
