Annex D of the Koloniaal Verslag 1890 reports a total  of 3,358 inpatients by the end of that year, whereas 52,631 patients had been admitted for the whole of the Netherlands Indies. The report concerns 28 military hospitals, 54 ziekenzalen (infirmaries) and 6 specialized facilities. The average occupation rate of the Sigli infirmry is then 4 patients, whereas 343 have been admitted that year. The situation by the end of the year 1890 is a presence of 4 patients.

In 1900 the situation of military health facilities was: 30 hospitals, 56 infirmaries and 5 specialized facilities, such as reconvalescent centers and leprosy asylums. The total number of admittances was in 1898: 57,071 and the number of present inpatients by the end of 1899: 3,731.  The Sigli infirmary had 26 October 1898 temporarily been converted into a 5th class garrison hospital. At the same time a field hospital had been established during the months June to October 1898. The statistics were for the year 1898:  admittances 3,009 (field hospital) and 1,370 (infirmary) and no figures mentioned on the presence of patients on 31 December 1898 (See Koloniaal Verslag 1900, Addendum A).

The military hospital 6th class at Sigli (Aceh) was mentioned in the Koloniaal Verslag 1917, that confirmed that in 1917 a military hospital 6th class was completed ( Chapter D, par. 1, p. 50).

The directing officer of health W. van der Veer published an article about the history of the Military Medical Service over the period 1911-1935 (GTNI, 76 (1936) 202-234) and mentioned the measures to cut down expenditure by downgrading hospitals to infirmaries. This happened to the Hospital of Sigli in 1934: it was turned again into an infirmary.

Sigli was in the 1930s a subdepartment of the department Pidie, Government Atjeh en Onderhorigheden (Aceh and Dependencies). It was divided into selfgoverning Landscapes: XII Moekims Pidie, V Moekims Kale en Laweueng,II Moekims Areee, Iboih, III Moekims Aron, VI Moekims Ie Leubeue, Ndjong, III Moekims Gloempangpajoeng, Samaindra, Bambi and III Moekims Pineung, III Moekims Gigieng, IX Moekims Kreumangan and the selfgoverning landscape V Moekims Reubee. The subdepartment is administratively ruled by a Controleur BB and has 134,000 inhabitants, among whom 180 Europeans and 1,300 Chinese (Gonggryp 1934, 1296).
