In 1908 this auxiliary hospital was founded in cooperation with the Djokja Sultanate at wates (DI Yogyakarta). In 1914  a subsidy was granted of f 2255 for this small auxiliary hospital (capacity 26-75 beds). It was granted conform Koloniaal Verslag 1915, addendum T. An amount of f 480 was supported to finance European nursing.

Efforts to improve Wates Regional General Hospital in its management so that it is more self-sufficiency continues to be pursued, one of which is by preparing Wates Hospital to become a Self-funding Unit through a trial phase for 3 years.
