The Mission hospital Sint Jozef was established at Tandjong Sakti in the southern part of Sumatra (Benkoelen). The year of its founding (1929) was mentioned in the publication Van tentoonstelling tot wereldorganisatie by Jan Willemsen (Nijmegen 1996). The founders of the hospital were the Franciscan sisters of charity, a community at Roosendaal.
The hospital can be found in the Map Mission Hospitals 1940.
