The general missionary hospital of Baleardjosari was founded in 1933 by the Roman Catholic congregation Zusters Christelijke Scholen, Boxmeer (Sisters of Christian Schools, Boxmeer).  The hospital was founded at Balearjosari, a township north of Malang (East Jawa).
