The auxiliary hospital at Panguruan (Batak country) was founded by the Rheinische Mission Gesellschaft at Barmen. The exact date of its founding is not known, but the subsidy regulations mention this hospital from 1910 (Koloniaal Verslag 1911). The Koloniaal Verslag 1930 indicates the amount of subsidy: f 360 for personnel and f 1092,48 for other expenditure. These subsidies are accorded conform the Regulations of Staatsblad voor Nederlandsch Indie 1906 no. 276.
