The rise of a hospital system in Indonesia

Zendings hulpziekenhuis Sekar-Wangi

This auxiliary mission hospital was established in the 1930s at Tjibadak in the Preanger region. The initiative came from the NZV (Nederlandse Zendeling Vereniging).

The hospital was opened in 1939 and had a capacity of 60 beds.
The Simavi foundation subsidized this auxiliary hospital with an amount of fl. 1,800.
