This mission hospital was subsidized from 1909 on the base of Indisch Staatsblad 1906 no. 276. In 1931 two nurses started their work in this hospital: Sarah J. Bos and Louise Goemaat. At that time the hospital had 250 in-patients and received about f 73,000 subsidy.

DEVELOPMENTS IN THE COLONIAL PERIOD
Specifically in the Surakarta Residency area, apart from the Zending Jebres Hospital which was founded in 1912 by the Gereformeerd Delft Church and the Zuid Holland ten Noorden Churches, there are two other hospitals that provide health services to the community.
