From GTNI 51 (1911) page 364/65: The hospital at Kendangan appeared to be too small. Patients arrived from all directions (mostly wounded patients) Therefore, the district head of Negara proposed to set up a small hospital at Negara.

The district of Nagara was situated in the southeastern part of Borneo (Kalimantan).
