The rise of a hospital system in Indonesia

Venereal hospital Laboean

The woman hospital for venereal diseases at Laboean (Deli) was built in 1885 and was put into use from 1886. It got its staff assigned by the government from 1887. It was a public hospital the practical use of which was disputed. Like the other venereal hospitals it was closed by the first of March 1911.
