Koloniaal Verslag 1873/74: In the establishment of syphilis patients at Pasoeroean a part was reserved for the nursing of sick prisoners and convicts. At the same time some permanent workers were engaged.

Hospitals (KV 1897):

New hospitals have not been opened in 1897, but at Tasikmalaija (Preanger Regencies) and at Tebing Tinggi (Department Padang and Bedagai of the Eastcoast of Sumatera) new institutions for venereal diseases were taken into preparation, whereas the enlargement of institutions for venereal diseases was on its way at Poerwakarta (Krawang), Banjoemas and Loemadjang (Probolinggo).
