At Tandjong-Pandan (Billiton) exists a hospital for poor private persons.
Together with the hospital for sick prostitutes only 40 patients were admitted in 1909 (1908: 76).
In the polyclinic of this town 742 patients were treated (1908: 98). 8 cases of venereal diseases were treated in the outpatient clinic.
On the 1st of March 1911 all establishments for sick prostitiutes were closed.
Tandjoengpandan was the main town of the department Billiton, Residency Bangka and Dependencies (Gonggryp 1934, 1382).
