In 1966, Mgr. DR. AH. Van Den Hurk (late) as the Archbishop of Medan through the Council of the Roman Catholic Church of Simalungun Regency / Pematangsiantar Municipality made plans to establish a hospital according to information received from several priests in Pematangsiantar at that time. One of them is Pastor Th. Liebreks OFMCap, who at that time lived in the village of Suka Maju, was the Head of the Pematangsiantar Middle Seminary.
On August 15, 1967, the Council of the Roman Catholic Church of Simalungun Regency / Pematangsiantar Municipality requested permission to establish a hospital to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia which was signed by the Chair and Secretary of the respective Church Councils on behalf of GBM. Sianturi (late) and DJF. Sianturi (late). A year later, the permit was issued in the form of a Temporary Permit Number 3885/BW/SID/1968 dated July 19, 1968, signed by dr. N. Hulman Lumban Tobing as Supervisor/Head of the Health Service of North Sumatra Province under the name RUMAH ROMA CATHOLIC, having its address at. Jl. The Suka Maju Village Upper Ball Field Pematangsiantar Municipality, with the status of a Private Hospital. And as Hospital Leader is Sr. Meinalda FCJM (Netherlands) and the doctor in charge is dr. Luhut Lumban Tobing. This hospital was established under the auspices of the Medan Archdiocese, so the owner is the Medan Archdiocese.
